Dog Adventure

What do you need to take with you on a dog adventure?

Whether you are setting off on a dog adventure for a day or for several, there are certain things you should always take with you. Especially if you want your dog to be happy, safe and comfortable and not in any pain.

Plenty of water -- So many people think setting off on a dog adventure into the woods means there will be plenty of clean water available for your dog to drink. This is not always the case.

Every dog adventure you go on should mean you are also carrying several bottles of clean water with you, as well as a small dog bowl for him to drink from. Remember, you are going to be hiking for miles, and your dog will need copious amounts of water if he is to remain hydrated and cool.

A harness that fits -- Even though you may be able to remove your dog's harness once you get out into the woods, there are times he still may need to have it on.

Make sure any harness you own fits your dog well and is not too tight. Otherwise, he will hate his dog adventure and be desperate to get back home.

Balls and toys -- Even though you are out in the wild, dogs love to chase things. Make his dog adventure even more fun by taking balls to throw and his favorite toys to play with when you take a break.

Food and dog treats -- A typical dog adventure could last all day. In rare circumstances, you could get stuck somewhere overnight.

This is why, along with your own food and snacks, be sure to take some dried dog food or a can of food with you, as well as dog treats and a dog bowl.
